Description

Perkins Coie LLP has an immediate opening for an Industry Marketing Coordinator . The primary responsibility of the Industry Marketing Coordinator is to support the marketing and business development objectives for the Life Sciences and Technology sectors in conjunction with the Senior Marketing Managers responsible for those sectors. This position will also work with the broader Sector team on specific department wide initiatives. The Industry Marketing Coordinator will support the marketing and business development objectives of the Sector Team through market research, event and sponsorship management, developing marketing content, providing proposal support, social media, CRM management, and other activities. This position requires the ability to manage numerous competing priorities, communicate clearly, adapt quickly and with sound judgment to a variety of situations while remaining calm under pressure.


Essential Functions:

  • Liaise directly with attorneys and assigned Senior Marketing Managers to provide support on marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Manage industry code classification process for new clients.
  • Maintain and update client and prospective client databases.
  • Maintain and update email distribution lists for assigned industry groups and sectors.
  • Assist with blogs, updates, and other firm website postings.
  • Update content on the firm’s intranet.
  • Track and run new matter and client reports.
  • Assist with gathering information used in management reports.
  • Prepare client newsletters.
  • Support events and sponsorships including: manage invitation and RSVPs lists; complete expense pre-authorizations; prepare check requests and expense reports; order and coordinate gifts and handouts; enter, update and track leads generated from events.


Travel:
This position may require occasional travel to provide onsite support at special events, trade shows and/or conferences.



Requirements

Required Skills:
A successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also be detail-oriented with excellent writing and editorial skills as well as an intellectual curiosity and ability to develop subject matter expertise in assigned practice areas. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact collaboratively and work with all levels of personnel and to do so diplomatically is needed. Must have the experience and foresight to anticipate potential issues and escalate them as needed, as well as identify opportunities and take initiative to drive new ideas. We are looking for an adept problem-solver, who is proactive and a self-starter. Must be self-motivated, responsive and understand the critical importance of delivering exceptional client service.


Preferred Skills:
Candidate must have strong abilities in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and experience with use of various social media platforms, including Twitter and LinkedIn. Understanding of CRMs, Salesforce, Pitchbook, or LexisNexus is a plus. Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.


Education & Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or Communication. Project management and general understanding of law is beneficial. 2-3+ years of professional services marketing experience preferred.

This position may be filled in Denver and in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, the compensation range in Denver for this position is $42,980 - $52,080, depending on qualifications and experience. Perkins Coie may provide a discretionary bonus annually and information regarding benefits can be found here.
